It’s official! NBA superstar Ron Artest has change his real name to Metta World Peace. This is no joke although the story is laughable. Artest said in an interview earlier this month, “Metta is going to be the first name and it means like friendship, love and kindness… World Peace is going to be the last name, so everybody can get ready to buy their World Peace jerseys.”

Metta World Peace? Like seriously, that’s like something that Prince would do… What, he did do that o_O

Reports say the name change was for personal reasons. Like the many fans out there I want to know those reasons. But I guess regardless of what he wants to call himself, the dude still knows how to hold it down on the court. That we can all agree on.
