All in good fun, many chose to forego wearing pants or skirts on their way to work this morning. A metro station in Los Angeles, California was filled of these half-naked commuters. They all seemed quite comfortable and having an awesome time. While some people were wondering what was going on, most just went along with the fun and enjoyed the view.

Before she was even born, she was already famous. Jay-Z and Beyonce’s newborn baby, Blue Ivy Carter, was born last Saturday. In celebration of their baby, Jay-z released a song titled “Glory,” where he lovingly describes his feelings with the lyrics “I’ll paint the sky Blue, my greatest creation is you.” At the end of the song, Blue’s gentle crying can be heard. Pharrell Williams is a guest vocalist in the song.

A recent a video of Casey Anthony surfaced online. She has apparently changed her appearance. The video showed that her long, brunette hair have been replaced with short, blond locks and she also wears black-framed glasses.The 4 minute video is supposedly a video diary made on Thursday Oct 13, 2011. She expressed her new-found happiness with regards to her new life and possessions. She fondly talked about her adopted dog. She stated, “I’ve adopted (a dog), that I love.” However, she made no point in mentioning her high profile trial or to say the least mention her 2-year-old daughter Caylee whom she was accused of neglecting and possibly causing her death in 2008.

She showed no sadness for the loss or disappearance of her daughter. It is so hard to believe that a mother could get over something like that so easily whether it be a month ago or 10 years ago.

Harry Potter isn’t the only one who owns an invisibility cloak. Researchers from Cornell University are doing research on a “time cloak” that temporarily allows an event to be undetectable. For 40 picoseconds (40 trillionths of a second, an event can be hidden from the naked human eye.

This concept was first theorized by Martin McCall, professor of theoretical optics at Imperial College London. Researchers Gaeta, Fridman and others at Cornell decided to test out McCall’s theory. They used a pile of fiber optics where they shot beams of light along with other beams. This created a time lens splitting the light into two different speed beams, fast or slow. Altering how fast the light moves instead of where the light flows was their goal. By speeding up one part of light and slowing down another, it produced a “hole in time” which created a gap where an event was masked.

Study co-author Moti Fridman, a physics researcher at Cornell explained it in layman terms. He used watching a movie with a scene inserted that you cannot see or notice as an example. Sort of like subliminal messages in a movie or advertisement. It is there, but you cannot see it.

Although invisibility was only achieved at fractions of a second, interest has peaked on how to apply this technology in today’s world. According to Fridman, one application is that it can be used to add packets of information to high speed data without interrupting the flow of data. The downside is that it can also be used for inserting computer viruses.

Researchers are still working on ways to improve on this technology. The next step is to make the invisibility cloak last at least a full second hopefully bringing us closer to full invisibility.

Much to many Harry Potter fans’ dismay, their plans of buying the highly coveted invisibility cloak will definitely have to wait.

An apparent suicide by 15-year old, Amanda Cummings, happened this week. She jumped in front of a bus on Staten Island. She carried a suicide note in her pocket.

Her family and friends reported that she hid a troubling problem with bullying. They discovered that a group of girls had been picking on her and drove her to commit suicide.

Lady Gaga has now risen to the level of all rock ‘n’ roll legends.

Rumors of Lady Gaga performing satanic rituals came as a hotel employee discovered a bathtub full of what was described to be blood
in her hotel room. The distraught chambermaid came in to clean the emptied hotel room and was shocked to see the red liquid in the bath tub.

The Intercontinental Hotel in London’s Park Lane was the scene of this “bloodbath” ritual last summer. A hotel worker reported that
management ordered them to forget about the incident and to keep it amongst themselves.

Hotel employees are convinced that the only thing it could have been was a satanic ritual and other possible reasons like fake blood or red makeup are unfathomable. Hinting on a pact with the devil allows others to explain her rapid rise to fame instead of owing it to her
talent and excellent PR.

Dennis Rodman will be trying out and coaching a bare-chested female basketball team with exotic dancers from Headquarters Gentleman Club.

Grenada police force is being sued by the family of a Toronto man allegedly beaten to death by five of their police officers.

Lawyer, Derick Sylvester, who represents the family of Oscar Bartholomew seeks damages for his wife and three children. The five officers: Edward Gibson, Shaun Ganness, Ruddy Felix, Kenton Hazzard, and Wendell sylvester are charged wth manslaughter. They made their first court appearance on Tuesday in St. George’s, the capital of Grenada.

No pleas were entered at the time.

No, not for the NBA, but for a Topless women’s basketball team. As weird as it sounds, it does not come as a shock that Rodman is seriously considering coaching such a team.

Rodman’s definitely got his sights on getting a team together of exotic dancers from Headquarters Gentleman Club. He is planning a HOT charity game against Rick’s Cabaret’s topless team who is coached by former Hawks standout, Spud Webb.

“I don’t know too many men that don’t like a good-looking woman running up and down around the basketball court,” Rodman reportedly stated.

Rodman had always been a fame seeker through his flashy outfits and odd behavior. Whether people agree with it or not, it makes for good entertainment.
